The project aims to address land degradation — an issue that significantly impacts smallholder farmers and food security in the country.

In the project, we will engage with farmers to revive local and historical perceptions of soil and raise awareness among smallholders on soil health. Our approach combines culture, art, local ecological knowledge, and permaculture principles.

The project is supported by @sianiagri . Follow the link in bio to read the Q&A about the initiative.

We are excited to share that our partner organizat We are excited to share that our partner organization, Little Earth, has been awarded the 2024 Gender Just Climate Solutions Award in the Technical Climate Solutions category. The award was presented on the 20th of November during the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan. This recognition highlights the success of Little Earth's project, Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Women’s Participation in Mountain Communities of Yagnob.

In collaboration with Little Earth, we have been working with the mountain communities of the Yagnob Valley to preserve local ecosystems and promote sustainable development. Together, we focus on empowering women from the region’s most vulnerable families by providing training, raising awareness, and building networks. The project also addresses energy poverty by providing sustainable energy solutions and equipment, such as energy-saving stoves and solar panels, to reduce environmental pressure and improve living conditions. Through these efforts, we aim to enhance women’s capacity to lead and contribute to the development of the communities.

Congratulations to Little Earth and the women of the Yagnob Valley for this well-deserved recognition!
