Umutai Dauletova

Умутай Даулетова

Umutai Dauletova currently resides in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. She graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Osh State University (Факультет Мировых Языков, ОшГу) in 1999 and then continued her studies in Moscow some years later. 

Dauletova has worked within several international organizations in Kyrgyzstan. During her studies at the Moscow Social State University, she started working with Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). At MSF, she was the Social Coordinator, and worked with the issue of healthcare for prisoners with tuberculosis.

In 2011, she became an employee and representative at UN Women. There she was the Advocacy and Communication Officer, and became the communications specialist for the world renowned agency. In 2015, Dauletova transferred from UN Women to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where she now is the Gender Mainstreaming Specialist and is considered an expert on policy implications for women.
