Bermet Duvanaeva was born in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on the 28th of January in 1988. She started playing tennis at the age of 7 and began her professional career as a tennis player in 2008. She plays right handed (Double Handed Backhand).

In 2010, she played her first year representing Kyrgyzstan at the Fed (short for Federation) Cup, which is the world’s largest annual international team competition in women’s sport, with 99 nations taking part in 2015. In the Fed Cup, Duvanaeva has a total win-loss record of 16-8. She has also won one singles title on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) tour, and in 2012 she reached her best singles ranking being on number 449 in the world. She reached her best doubles ranking in 2010, at number 820. Her most active years playing professional tennis has been 2008 to 2012.
