The following vacancy is available at the Swedish organization Central Asia Solidarity Groups, funded by Stiftelsen Konung Gustaf V:s 90-årsfond.

Candidates are requested to submit a CV, motivation letter, and one piece of academic paper in English no more than five pages (a piece can be an extract from a larger academic paper) to info@centralasien.org. Suitable candidates will be invited to take part in the interview process.

Please note that candidates over 30 years are not eligible to apply for this position. All travel and living expenses are covered by CAG.

General project’s goals:
The goal of the residency is to increase the leadership potential of youth leaders through increased knowledge, sharing experiences and best practice, exploring methods, mentalities and modes of leadership.

Specifically, it is expected that a candidate will:
-provide support in organizing and facilitating events within Central Asia Solidarity Groups;
-engage in Central Asia Solidarity Groups’ information, advocacy and solidarity efforts in Sweden and Central Asia;
-network with local civil society organizations in Sweden, Central Asia and Russia.

We are looking for a candidate with the following background:
-experience of working in the civil society sector
-solid understanding and knowledge of Central Asian contexts and the thematic working areas of CAG;
-fluency in written and spoken English is essential;
-excellent written and verbal communication skills
-positive problem-solving approach;
-good interpersonal and team-working skills;
-responsiveness and responsibility.
