A VEIL

(SOMETHING/SOMEBODY BEHIND A VEIL)

Written under the influence of “Misrepresentation”

She was everything I dreamt of,
But I didn’t know.
Now she’s gone
And I lost my universe.
Don’t know where to run to.
Don’t know what happened to my dream.
The pain I feel is so acute
It kills me from within.

When I look at you
What do I see?
A pretty face
Or an invitation to infinity?

But that’s only a package.
Funny mixture of bones, hopes and schemes.
Might look like a wreckage,
Well, might conceal diamonds within.

In every person
There is something deep inside.
Something hidden that reflects (shows) itself
If you look him/her in the eye.
Something more important
Than all treasures of the Earth.
And if you gonna be persistent
You’ll discover the truth.

When I look at you
What do I see?
An obscure (a fleeting) illusion
Or shining reality?

But that’s only a package.
Deadly mixture of bones, hopes and schemes.
Might look like a wreckage,
Well, might conceal diamonds within.

I don’t wanna (like to) be rejected,
But if you’d do
I wanna you to look at me
The same way I try to look at you.

I wanna look at you
Without any veil (interpretor / mediator)
Without any fucking bias
Or any other fucking philosophy
But with my own eyes
And with my own soul.

It’s up to you
What you gonna do.
It’s up to you
Which side you take.
Don’t be a plaything for somebody!
Don’t be a fake!
Wake up!
Be yourself, buddy!
And don’t hesitate!
